Everyday dentistry for the whole family
Check-ups, cleanings, fillings and the small repairs that stop a problem becoming a big one. Dr. Gurpreet Kaur looks after families in Yuba City from a child’s first visit onwards, in the same office where Dr. Navjot Singh handles implants and surgery.
Cleanings and exams
A hygiene visit and a full exam with the X-rays we need, twice a year for most people.
Urgent visits
Weekday time kept open for pain, swelling and broken teeth. Call first.
Who we see
Everyone in the household, at every age.
- Children, from a first check-up around their first birthday
- Adults due a routine exam and clean
- Anyone who has not been to a dentist in years and is dreading it
- Patients with a PPO plan, and patients paying out of pocket
We are a locally owned practice, not a chain, so you see the same two dentists every visit.
What a first visit looks like
About an hour, and nothing is done to you that you have not agreed to.
Talk it through
What is bothering you, what you have had done before, and what you want out of it.
Exam and X-rays
A full look at teeth, gums and bite, with digital X-rays and a 3D scan where it matters.
A written plan
What needs doing, what can wait, what each part costs and what your insurance covers.
Book the work
In the order that makes sense, starting with anything causing pain.
What it costs
A new patient exam with the X-rays we need is $89 if you have no insurance, and most PPO plans cover a check-up and clean in full. You get the figure in writing before anything is booked, and we check your insurance first so you know your share, not just the list price.
Common questions
How often should I come in?
Twice a year suits most people. If you have gum disease or a history of decay we may suggest every three or four months, and we will tell you why rather than just booking it.
I have not been to a dentist in years. Is that a problem?
No, and you are not the first this week. We start with an exam and a plan, in the order that makes sense, and nothing happens in one visit that does not need to.
Do you see children?
Yes. Dr. Kaur sees children from around their first birthday, and the first visit is mostly about getting them comfortable in the chair.
Do you take my insurance?
We are in network with most PPO plans and file the claim for you. Call with your card and the front desk will check it in a couple of minutes.
How do I book?
Call (530) 671-2170 or request a time on our booking page. We are at 909 Plumas Street, Yuba City, CA 95991, Monday to Thursday 8 AM to 5 PM and Friday 8 AM to 2 PM.
